The music video juxtaposes the highs and lows of love for a couple which is drowning in the intensity of its own emotions. With the magical vocals of Prateek Kuhad, the song becomes a very poignant take on romance which is fierce, passionate and sometimes, heartbreaking. Following in the footsteps of many artists before him, a recent example being that of Ed Sheeran, Kuhad also makes a cameo in the video. With the depiction of the cyclical nature of relationships, Cold/Mess makes the viewer conclude that though love can be overwhelming, suffocating and bitter, it's also tangy and sweet and something worth a try, much like a lemon tart.

A newly-married bride wakes up on the morning after her wedding and finds herself bored (and perhaps a little curious). While her husband continues to sleep next to her, she gets to killing time on her own. From unwrapping disappointing presents to being a performer in make-belief situations, she spends the morning executing all kind of acrobatics (both mental and physical). A grim statue of a bat immediately after seeing her mother-in-law is one of the many fun and quirky touches that have been given to the video which experiments with its camera angles, shots and pacing of the visuals. They are further supplemented by singer Ritviz's latest offering, but you will pay attention to the vocals only the second time around. This does not even remotely suggest that the music and the song is any less expertly done, but instead that the video is crafted skilfully enough to triumph over all other elements.

The soulful music is backed by the most heartwarming visuals in this video. It's simple and straight and does not try to be anything it's not which is perhaps what makes it a successful product, hitting just the right chords with the viewer. It's a wonderful comment on how society marginalises everything that it doesn't understand, no matter how baseless its fears and apprehensions might be. It also shows that the warmth of love is sufficient to melt all barriers, irrespective of how strong they might be. The video employs an expert use of limited space and frames to tell its story. Not only is the manner of storytelling convincing, but it also succeeds in making Sage a wholesome piece of art.

The visuals in this music video translate beautifully into a narrative about the life of a serial procrastinator. The viewer finds the protagonist resorting to cloning to get all his pending tasks done. Suddenly, the to-do list begins to get shorter and shorter, as an armada of Jim Sarbh clones populate the screen to see every task to its completion. While the video is shot most gracefully, the editing deserves a special mention for keeping it even more seamless. The final product is effervescent, colourful and funny.

Uncut footage of one Prateek Kuhad video has made it to another about a year after the first one came out. Using extra shots from Cold Mess, starring Jim Sarbh and Zoya Hussain, the video of Into the Night takes the viewer once again into the intimate corners of a relationship. As the couple navigates around the various moments of loneliness, isolation, laughter and some good old kissing, Kuhad's gentle singing supplement the video to make it a well-rounded product. The vibe as well as the general atmosphere created by the vocals and the visuals are similar to Cold Mess and thus serve as an extra treat for the admirers of the original song.
