Out of Range maintains the crispness of its pace while invoking a narrative about extraterrestrial beings that pay a visit one night to two unsuspecting researchers. It uses elements of suspense, mystery and violence to further supplement itself with an engaging plot that aims to keep the viewer hooked.

The most notable aspect of the film is the story which keeps the viewer gripped throughout. A photographer finds himself in a little green patch one day, clicking pictures of children and the scenery around him. However, soon after that, strange events begin to develop, leading him to a fate darker and more morbid than he could have seen coming. The film also becomes a philosophical conversation of sorts about the nature of the human soul and our corporeal existence. Though it could have benefited from a little more control on its lighting, it exhibits a sincere attempt to make smart use of physical space and its several locations to take the viewer into two realities, and further portray how they get tied together to form the spine of the narrative as well as the plot.

The darkness of the night can sometimes becomes an overwhelming, impenetrable force with little or no sense of comfort. The short film explores one such situation when a young man finds himself alone (or is he truly?) in his room. Many questions are raised as strange noises and events happen to follow each other, most important of them being - what would be his fate in the endless shroud of the night?

Vectors is a complex film that attempts to explore quite a few threads in the same narrative. The idea is to
explain the life and fate of a character through the geometrical concept of vectors. A teenaged boy, a school-topper and a student of Class XII, has gone on a killing spree. In the span of a
day, he has committed a rape, a murder and a robbery, and wants to surrender. Questions of what is real and what isn't are invoked, as is of the location of education in the lives of the characters. There is also roping in of peer pressure and substance abuse. The narrative moves
back and forth to drive home his actions and their consequences, but the more the threads are
introduced the more the film starts unraveling.

The visuals are set against a poetic narration about a man's struggle to make sense of his existence and surroundings. As he moves from a question and a chapter of his life to another, can any respite be found? While trying to find his identity without losing himself in the uniformity around him, he realises perhaps the answers lie outside the company of the unthinking crowd that refuses to engage with his questions and doubts. When he finally steps out of the box he was being forced to fit into, he is confronted by uncertainty and fear regarding the path ahead, but also a sense of liberation.
