The Wait is a short film which portrays how obnoxious this sense of male entitlement can be. As a woman waits for a friend at a bar, she is approached by an importunate man who refuses to leave her alone despite her obvious discomfort. However, she too stands her ground. The short film by Myntra, another offering of its Bold is Beautiful campaign, leaves the viewer feeling triumphant in the victory of the protagonist who claims her space most fiercely and fearlessly.

Radhika Apte shines brilliantly in the captivating 'Bold is Beautiful' short film series by Myntra. Unearthing an old piece of art is worth it if it conveys a message as relevant as this one. Shaheen, played by Apte, is a professional who is clearly great at her job, but her pregnancy is what concerns her colleagues more than her work. In a society, that equates pregnancy with being disabled, or as an angry Shaheen calls it, "handicapped", The Calling makes a much needed comment about the manner in which women are viewed as professionals. No, pregnancy doesn't mean end of their career and the short film ensures that this message is conveyed in the most emphatic manner.

It's alright for a woman to switch careers and cities to keep up with her husband's job. But can the same be expected of the husband? Can we envision a society where a woman's career is as important as the man's? This short film, made as part of Myntra's Bold is Beautiful campaign, raises the same questions. The Move is a lovely short film because it successfully conveys the message without creating a binary between relationships and career. It's not an either/or situation. A person can respect and want both, which is why the protagonist had supported her husband during a similar situation in their past. However, now when it's time for him to do the same, will he do it? Either way, the short film leaves us with a strong, level-headed protagonist who knows what she wants and will fight till the end to achieve it.

This short film invokes the idea of single parenting and the difficulties it entails for a mother raising her daughter all by herself. Released as part of Myntra's Bold is Beautiful campaign, Single Parenting, My Choice portrays the judgement and discrimination a young woman undergoes after moving to a new residential society. While the prying neighbours continue to make nudging suggestions about her married life, even women themselves come across as enforcing this bias against single mothers. The short film draws attention to the many struggles of being a parent and a woman, and the manner they increase manifold if you choose to step out of normative societal structures.
