The plot of ‘Tussle’ is centered around a pen drive, one that contains extremely incriminating details about several powerful people and their respective organizations. As members from each join the bid to acquire it, more specifically, Jake and his former mentor, David, the film presents its carefully constructed world to you. It is marked by stylized action which is free-flowing and seamless without any awkward punches (pun intended). 
Though the visual department has a limitation of resources and capacity, owing almost entirely to the fact that the whole film is shot on a smartphone, it exhibits a deep investment of thought and skill in making the progression of events come to life. The very endeavor of storytelling is marked by unmissable devotion and sincerity, despite the young voice of the filmmaker, and thus, should definitely be explored and developed in future projects.

The short film is the story of a young boy, Ajay who finds it difficult to conform to society. As his life of misbehaving with college faculty and angering fellow students who have to face the consequences of their teachers' ire continues, little help seems available at hand. Ajay chooses to let go of his relationships, education and peers in exchange for a life he has resurrected out of rage and the inability to tame his temper. The film soon progresses to offer a change of heart, albeit sudden and unconvincing, of the protagonist. However, the question to be asked by an unsuspecting viewer remains that has Ajay put in motion an entire chain of events that are beyond his control now? If yes, who will be touched, or worse, destroyed by them?

Belagaam | Short Film Nominee

The film is a smooth tying together of remarkable writing and humour to present to the viewer a comedic account of a cricket match played by the most unlikely players. The entirety of this story is marked by a hilarious narration that keeps the viewer in splits throughout the length of the film. It further captures an authentic experience of a small town, and the several eccentric, unexpected, strange and perhaps even endearing characters it has to offer to the viewer. Despite its many strengths, sound remains a weak aspect of the film which holds it back from being all that it could have been. The near-absolute absence of background music comes across as jarring, initially. However, soon the viewer gets used to it, and maybe even forgets about it during the many humorous and bizarre moments marked by untimely phone calls by lovers, family members, or crucial moments during which the concerned player is off the field, and all the developments that come to constitute Cricket Yudh. Overall, the film remains a zealous product, leaving the door open for more such work by the filmmaker.
