The film opens on a note that does not give any inkling of the direction it is headed in. After being made aware by the title of the film, Daaka or robbery, when we see a man preparing to leave for somewhere, the first question to arise is whether he will be the robber or the robbed?
The audience is soon given the answer as a man breaks into a house in the darkness of the night, and thus begins his movement through it, silent as death. Employing shadows and snatches of light, the viewer is taken into the different corners, revealing all the various objects they hold within. However, just when the whole task has been completed, an unexpected development awaits our protagonist.
