The strongest quality of the short film is definitely the story. However, what Best Girlfriend lacks in terms of a smooth edit and sophisticated camera angles, it makes up with promising performances by the two main leads, Kritika Kamra and Vikrant Massey. It also offers an interesting, thought-provoking take on modern day, urban romances by interacting with notions of morality, ethics and fidelity in a relationship.

As is true of all broken hearts, the trajectory of recovery is never a linear one. With several instances of going back and forth, the attempt to move on and the consequent failures, it keeps the viewer guessing till the very end about the fate of the protagonists.
