A man is by himself in a house when the viewer is introduced to his life. While he tends to his daily tasks of cooking, reading and so on, the audience is allowed another glimpse - one into events that are unfolding behind this mundane exterior. A far darker entity lurks at the heart of it all which the narrative provides a suggestion of using eerie music. The suspense is immediately put in place while the protagonist continues to remain unaware of what is truly at play here. As he lies down to take a nap, a disturbing reality awaits him in this accommodation which he shares with an unnamed, unidentified and assumedly supernatural being who is hungry for some mischief. What will thus be the fate of the man who is unable to foresee the horror that is in store for him?

The sinister intentions of the film are established right from the start when it opens with the deadly
chants of Bloody Mary! Bloody Mary! Bloody Mary! 
A strange, grumpy young man is going by his day. When he returns home, he is acquainted with people
around him who call out to to warn him against saying 'Bloody Mary!' thrice. Then
they all burst into laughter, calling him a 'phattu' (coward/imbecile). 
Tormented by the constant jibes, he decides to rebel and do exactly that which is forbidden. He utters
the deadly chant, and the consequences are evil.

The film begins with shots of extreme low-light. In a quivering voice, a girl tells her father that she is in
pain. She tells him that to her, he was the best father in the world. The camera hovers around objects
which are tokens of affection between the father and daughter. The light is still dimmed, as though we
are sitting under the light of a single candle. We learn that the child was raped, and later died due to injuries.
The engulfing darkness now begins to make sense. The father of the child is a doctor and is faced with a
conflicting decision regarding the life and fate of the man who killed his child. As he deliberates, the
cries and whispers of his child continue to haunt him. She had called him a monster. What decision will
he take?
