The film begins with shots of extreme low-light. In a quivering voice, a girl tells her father that she is in pain. She tells him that to her, he was the best father in the world. The camera hovers around objects which are tokens of affection between the father and daughter. The light is still dimmed, as though we are sitting under the light of a single candle.

We learn that the child was raped, and later died due to injuries. The engulfing darkness now begins to make sense. The father of the child is a doctor and is faced with a conflicting decision regarding the life and fate of the man who killed his child. As he deliberates, the cries and whispers of his child continue to haunt him. She had called him a monster. What decision will he take?
