At the heart of the film is a message about hope. The story is located in our locked-down world following the Covid-19 pandemic when a man has lost his job. Unable to secure any other job, he finds himself drowning in despair and the overwhelming pressure to simply survive. <br><br> It is at this juncture when he has a conversation over a phone call with his friend, one that comes to alter the entire course of the night for him. The film is well-intentioned and wants to remind the viewer of the importance of not giving up, irrespective of how bleak things may seem, especially during and after a year like 2020.

The short film is an attempt to draw a parallel between mental health and nature by using the example of a banyan tree. By conjuring the comparison between the roots of a tree and their relationship with its several components, the film further wants to remind the viewer of the manner in which the human mind functions and interacts with the emotions it harbours. <br><br> Additionally, the narrative uses the context of a pandemic-ridden world where issues of mental health are a pressing concern. Well-intentioned and simple, it thus becomes a reminder to pay attention to your emotional needs, as well as to acknowledge the struggle of battling a disorder like depression which might otherwise go unnoticed.
