'Uncle Ji' is propelled forward by a very relevant message which the narrative reveals gradually, and only after having built a moment of high tension. A man stands by a lonely road in the darkness of the night. Armed solely with a small briefcase, he is extremely uneasy and unsure of his safety in these desolate surroundings. As luck would have it, he is soon forced on a two-wheeler by two men, and taken in a direction he is not at all familiar with.
The narrative, however, develops in an unexpected manner, subverting everything it may have lead the viewer to believe so far. In the outcome of the eventual circumstance, it finally shares its message, drawing attention to an often-ignored aspect of illnesses - the caregivers and their battle with the plight of their loved ones.
