The film offers the viewer a moment in time to discuss a psychological phenomenon intrinsic to human existence - the fight or flight reaction. When it opens, a man is being chased by what seems to be zombies. As he rushes towards a house for protection, it turns out that even the inhabitants inside have been transformed into blood-thirsty creatures of the same kind. The protagonist desperately tries to escape from them. However, what will his eventual choice be between the two options - to either make a run for it, or to find it in him to face the terrifying situation? The film comes across as a dedicated attempt, but could have gained from more control on its lighting as most of the visuals remain consumed in shadows.

The short film engages with the activities of a deeply disturbed character and the manner in which it affects his family as well as friends. The story unfolds in an experimental manner, keeping the viewer guessing the entire time about the course of events. What it lacks in lighting and camerawork, it makes up with a notable performance of the lead character. The film contains violence, gore, zombies and a deranged protagonist determined to make his twisted games a reality. It definitely shows potential in terms of storytelling and structuring of the narrative, albeit losing out on technical aspects like visuals.

Another Day | Short Film Nominee

A man desperately bangs on John’s door and forces himself in. He is running away from zombies and
cannibals who are chasing him. It is the time of apocalypse and everyone infected by the
deadly virus has turned into a zombie. The film begins at this high point of intensity, and soon brings in ideas of religion and spirituality. The survivor reveals his name as Haridas whose sole purpose of visit seems to be to
convert men of other religions into Hinduism. He gives long encomiums on Hinduism and the discussion
between John an Haridas becomes a drawn-out battle over the superiority of their respective religions. The film is clear in the intentions and message it wants to convey, one of the futility of discord over imagined differences. However, it could have benefited from a crispness of a tighter narrative.
