The short film is a lovely, quiet delineation of the struggle of two men in Mumbai. It draws a wonderful and intelligent parallel between the stories of Rahi and Gurpreet who both moved to the city of dreams in pursuit of success in their respective careers. The intelligence of the narrative becomes most pronounced when it addresses the notions and deeply-set structures of class in the Indian society while talking about these characters. Despite the difference in their societal location, both Rahi and Gurpreet have similar battles to fight and demons to overcome that threaten to devour their hopes and aspirations. The film is a well-rounded product with elegant camerawork, strong performances and effortlessly smooth story-telling. If all of this wasn't sufficient to make it succeed, it further manages to make a deeply moving point about professional obstacles, class divisions and chasing your dreams, without making its propositions preachy, didactic or blatant.

The short film introduces us to two actors with diverse backgrounds and life experiences. Both of them wait in the green room, preparing for a scene crucial for their respective careers - a role with dialogues. Their contrasting personalities depict the different mindsets, opinions and ways of life the two generations have.
 

On the one hand, we have the calmer and humbler older artist who has made peace with his current place in the industry, he understands its inner workings and thus, radiates a positivity and gravity that accompanies maturity. On the other, there is the impulsive, motivated younger artist who is still trying to understand and perfect the art form, along with the work and the life that it constitutes. As they connect and discuss the nitty-gritty of their personal and professional lives as actors, a deep bond and understanding develops.

The title is as provocative as it gets. The YouTube description of the film also alludes to the dominant narrative. A girl from another city moves to Mumbai with the dream of becoming an actor. Work is uncertain as it is, and with the pandemic the conditions gets worse leading to a financial crisis of sorts for her. Since the film industry is seen as a place of ill-repute with pimps and cheats masquerading as professionals, the film follows the same pattern of a struggling actor caught in the midst of an unfortunate situation, one where she is manipulated and cheated. The shame and rebuke forces her to take an extreme step. However, the film refuses to carry forward the same narrative of slut-shaming and victim-blaming and opts for a statement on affirmation.
