The film tells a story of hardship, loss, and grief. It also portrays the love for one’s art, and how devastating it can prove to be if this love remains unfulfilled. The narrative takes the audience into a small village called Koturmalai where Lakshmi lives with her parents and a young daughter. The sole earner of the family, every day she trudges up and down a massive distance that has taken its toll on her health.

Lakshmi's father used to be a street dancer, but now, as the village lies forgotten, his performances have dwindled too over the years, leaving him with no other skill that could add to the household income. The film delineates all of this and some more by way of a heartbreaking story, marked by a loud, painful lament of a father that is sure to stay with the viewer.

In the process, a narrative about a strenuous life, broken dreams, and how all of them get nestled within a struggling family, comes into existence.
