‘Persistence’ is a first-person narrative about a man’s relationship with the city of dreams, Mumbai, but also with his own passion, dreams and the many obstacles that a life of practicality quietly strews in his way. The storytelling remains steadfast in its approach and progression throughout, exhibiting honesty and dedication to its ideas.
It would be interesting to see a more layered tonality in the expression of the same ideas in a future project which, in turn, would allow it to turn more stones in terms of storytelling. In its current form, however, the film remains a sincere endeavor.
