Trigger Warning: Sexual Assault

Two strangers meet at the woman, Shivani’s place, after an arrangement is made over a matrimonial site. They sit down for a pleasant conversation. However, it soon takes an unpleasant turn to reveal Avinash's problematic views on relationships and who he views to be an ideal partner. There is further a comment on the sexist and patriarchal frameworks within which the institution of marriage itself operates.

They continue to chat when Shivani opens up about the past and shares her traumatic experience of being a sexual assault survivor. This unnerves Avinash even more, finally emphasizing for the viewer the film's core thought about the manner in which a patriarchal society places blame on women for atrocities committed by men, robbing the former of leading an average, peaceful life despite no fault of theirs.
