Pankha unfolds as a phone conversation between two friends in lockdown. These boys have been
friends since childhood, but as life has it, the responsibilities of adulthood come in the way and take a
toll on keeping in touch. What starts as a normal call about checking up on the other, turns into an
emotional exchange as the subject changes to heartbreak and failure.
One friend is visibly distraught than the other, but it’s not as though the other has had it easier. The good about the film, however, is that it depicts a certain level of male bonding where men feel comfortable enough to cry and express vulnerability with each other.
