The film introduces us to the many obstacles that a couple faces after eight years of marriage following an elopement from a small town in north India. The final result boasts of notable camerawork and performances that exhibit potential and chemistry. As we are introduced to more nuances and layers of everyday life of the couple, practical issues pertaining to tight finances and the manner in which they control every aspect of their life further stick their head out.
The narrative, however, progresses too swiftly, sometimes running the danger of seeming inorganic. At the same time, the storytelling remains sincere and thus comes across as the defining characteristic of Love is Not Enough. It would be a welcome prospect to see future projects by the team where they could perhaps also experiment with a more sustained approach.
