The film wants to portray the life and times of an average Indian household, but by only using their footwear. The characters, thus, become different pairs of shoes which are coupled with dialogues that are delivered for the audience by several voices. Each of these pair is further used to suggest the imprint their footsteps leave behind long after the person who wore them has passed over to the next stage of existence.
Whether this imprint lasts forever or is quickly erased by the sands of time, that is the question that forms the core on which the narrative models itself. As for the answer, it lies within the story itself for the viewer who stays with it till the end.
