The film is quiet, innocent and endearing. The story is about the dread of a boy who is convinced he is about to lose his aunt over a lie. During a cricket match, Soham's cousin swears untruthfully on his mother, leaving the former worried about the well-being of his aunt. <br><br> Our young protagonist is on tenterhooks as he watches her closely, jumping at her hiccups, an inauspicious colour or an unreachable phone. Aai Shapat does a decent job of capturing the fright of a child following a harmless lie. The same is portrayed in the manner the other characters respond to him, a device that allows the film to communicate the sentiment seamlessly. The execution of the narrative is lucid along with being a subtle reminder of how deeply embedded superstitions are in our day-to-day to lives.

The film introduces us to a couple which is at the girl's house. With her flatmate out for the night and food already ordered, they are about to commence a potentially romantic rendezvous. However, despite the setting, the tone remains suffused with unspoken tension. The girl comes across as controlling and dismissive of her partner, while he, on the other hand, is silently going along with all her behavior despite not being comfortable with it. It would be this moment of unease that would take the form of a full blown catastrophe as their meeting progresses. <br><br> The final result, though a product of limited resources, aims to share a narrative marked by suspense, thrill and the eventual violence that will come to be the defining element of the plot. The young team exhibits sincerity in telling their story, something definitely to be explored further in future endeavors.
