There has been time travel before in several other films, but what makes Glitch stand out is the protagonist - a semi-naked child at the centre of all the action. As human instinct would have it, he too attempts to set mistakes right every time he travels to the past. However, we have seen enough sci-fi to know how wrong it can truly go. <br. While the butterfly effect sets in and situations spiral out of control, the short film keeps the viewer glued to the screen. The visuals are smooth and elegant, the writing is skilled and the lost child, trying to make sense of the utter disorder, is the most endearing part of it all. Add to it a sophisticated narrative progression and a brief but powerful performance by Mona Singh and an enriching viewing experience is ensured.

Every minute, over two dozen people are forced to flee their home. Out of every two refugees, one is a child. Let that sink in and be a reminder of the hatred that is ravaging this world from all corners. The short film deals with the extent of the fear for one's security and the desperate need to find shelter when someone is forced out of their own home. Visa is a beautifully written film about a inter-communal couple in Pakistan and their trauma of trying to leave the country with their young daughter. It follows a non-linear narrative and succeeds greatly at creating a heightened atmosphere of uncertainty. It also invokes a disturbing reality, a sense of despair, but concludes with a bleak sense of hope for the optimistic viewer.

Enter a cafe where two lovers meet after thirty years. However, they're not alone during this meeting, they have also carried with them the memory of their last meeting from all these years ago. The short film possesses a dreamy execution of what otherwise might have been an ordinary script and storyline. It is heart-warming and instills a sense of hope in the viewer. The chemistry between Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel is one of its strengths and deserves a special mention. Furthermore, it employs a thespian treatment of the narrative, and as the events unfold, evokes a sense of a theatrical performance. The film, therefore, becomes a wholesome product complete with expert performances and wonderful storytelling that would leave the viewer feeling fulfilled.

Even in a few moments, The Last Day by Adhiraj Bose, weaves together the most heartwarming narrative of a friendship between two people who have lived together for eight years. However, life waits for none, and now it is indeed time for them to move on. This film handles the awkward, yet emotional parting between two friends in a moving manner. The mastery of the film lies in the fact that the situations it attempts to portray is not entirely unique, yet, instead of spiralling into corniness or mawkishness (or both), it sticks to a skilled and balanced treatment of it.
