The narrative of Quarantine II is marked by a glimpse into the lockdown we dealt with a year ago. This eventually gives way to the present day reality when the world continues to battle the pandemic. The plot is educational in nature, reminding the viewer of the safety precautions one should observe in order to battle, and eventually, triumph over our current circumstance. The visuals unfolding on screen are supplemented by a notable voiceover, further making all its intentions clear for the viewer.

The film attempts a comedic and entertaining narrative about a boy's (mis)adventures of stumbling across a smartphone application. What it does is allow him to take different avatars in different settings. The film shows a desire to innovate by weaving visuals shot by different actors in their own individual settings. The plot has an unexpected conclusion, one that further adds to the woes of a bored protagonist. Locating itself in the year 2021, where the world battles an unnamed pandemic, technology has allowed him a little escape from his reality, to be whoever he can be. However, what will be his fate when things take a turn for the worse?

The coronavirus pandemic has brought with it a deep division in people's opinions that threatens to grow more powerful with every passing day. If on the one side there are people, who despite lockdown fatigue, are still trying their best to practice all precautions and health guidelines, on the other hand, there are those who have chosen to deny the gravity of the situation. The film introduces the viewer to both of these sides of the argument, put together entirely in the form of telephonic conversations which the actors perhaps shot from their own residential spaces. The narrative thus becomes educational in nature, reminding the audience of the pandemic that very much exists irrespective of our denial or acceptance.
