The film is a well-meaning attempt to fight the stigma pertaining to menstruation in the Indian society. From restricting women's movements to the kitchen or the religious corners of the house, to loading a perfectly normal and biological process with guilt and shame - the film attempts an interaction with it all.
The method it employs to achieve this involves the story of a young girl who has just entered puberty. Left without her mother and alone with her father during the second menstruation cycle of her life, her unease in approaching him and understanding the adult concepts linked to the female body thrust upon her for the first time, overwhelm her, and leave her more clueless. However, in complete contrast with what she may have been raised up to believe, a very pleasant surprise awaits her when she chooses to open up about her hesitation.
