The short film is a quiet, subjective documentation, primarily from the point of view of the grandmother of the house, of a past, an age gone by which has left several relics in its wake. Whether it's in the form of something tangible like old posters or toys, or something more intimate and unquantifiable like memories, both become equally important components of the whole that is life. <br><br> All of this is allowed to unfold against the backdrop of a very practical event rooted in the present - the experience of shifting houses during a pandemic. This, in turn, allows the entire narrative to offer an adequately balanced portrayal of the lived reality of its subjects. 

Grandma's Tales | Lockdown Film Challenge

The film offers an interesting non-fiction account of the life and times during the Covid-19 lockdown, as the title suggests, but from the point of view of an old couple. This is what allows it to bring a potential uniqueness to the storytelling. <br><br> From skipped walks which can no longer be taken in a public space like a park, to struggling with the technology absolutely needed to now stay in touch with loved ones, the narrative invokes it all. The story simply then becomes about a moment in time, one we are all too familiar with, allowing it a fresh breath of air by virtue of the protagonists the film employs to share it.
