‘Farishta’ offers a straightforward story, and remains well-intentioned throughout its execution. A man is by himself one day when he sees someone struggling behind the steering wheel of his vehicle. Dropping the train of thought that had consumed him so far, he rushes to the stranger’s help, ensuring that he gets the life-saving medical aid he was desperately in need of. <br><br> 

However this act of kindness has set a series of events in motion through which the narrative’s intention is eventually realized and communicated. The storytelling, despite being marked by a little rawness, is devoted to pronouncing its message about how compassion and selflessness can sometimes help more than one life.

Every morning, when a woman steps out of her house, a man follows her closely. Evidently very well aware of her daily routes, he takes the same path, always keeping her in sight from a distance. <br><br>

The comment that thus rises is about stalking and women’s safety in public spaces. There is further a glimpse into the man’s life and his fixation with this woman, showing how he obsessively keeps a record of her photographs without her consent. Though it could have gained from a closer analysis of the premise at hand, the film is well-intentioned and wants to subvert expectations.
