This short documentary presents the artwork of Devrai Art Village and their experiments with fusion of metal and stone. The intricate, beautifully carved art forms of the village are deeply inspired by nature, the universe and its inhabitants; they are a well-balanced combination of the traditional and the contemporary. This inspiration, mixed with the vivid imagination of the artists, gives rise to the unimaginable, mesmerising final results. <br><br>
The documentary talks about how their never-tried-before experiment with metal and stone has led to a new thirst for venturing further into different fusion art forms, starting with ceramic and brass. These artists work to produce true reflection of their surroundings, those which can help one understand the world better, and even bring it closer to us.

After graduating from a premier institution in 2017, Amogh Sahaje chose to embark upon the road less taken. He
decided to travel, and live in a village, a community of “tribals”, untouched by modern technology.
Alternism documents brief excerpts from a conversation with Amogh about his experiences. <br><br>
Without using academic jargon or clichés, or even a dominant model of relativism which places the
European ideals of Enlightenment as the basis of all knowledge, Amogh narrates his observations of
the mode of working and functioning of this particular set of people. Through anecdotes and reflections, he paints a
picture of a community
which may seem “primitive” to the imperialistic, corporate-oriented development model, but is self-sustaining and growing in its own time, by its own standards.
