Young love often ensures an endearing theme for a narrative when engaged with. Additionally, when the story of affection is located in a school with sixth grade students, it acquires another level of sweetness, also taking the viewer down a nostalgic lane of their own memories. The short film is an encapsulation of all of these thoughts and sentiments.
Akshay, a child who keeps getting in trouble because of the naughtiness of his best friend, finds himself fascinated by his new classmate, Angel. Consequently, he invests all his energies in avoiding her. However, as fate would have it, the two are soon thrown in together, and thus develops a narrative of friendship and affection.
The film is adorable in its treatment of young characters and their understanding of the world through an innocence-tinted lens. It also invokes in the viewer a sense of warmth. However, at its conclusion, it undercuts its own expectations set by the development of events so far, thereby making the end seem slightly inorganic.
