Aakash has made a name for himself in the US. He earns well, and leads a lavish lifestyle. Despite an existence that was marked by humble beginnings, he always harboured big ambitions, which he eventually managed to fulfil and realise as well. He has achieved a lofty position for himself with no desire to descend from it. However, his ageing father, a widower, lives alone in India, in their ancestral flat away from the city. While the son had attempted to convince him to move to the US, the father had chosen not to.

To sell their old apartment in the city, Aakash is now back home. He visits the neighbourhood he grew up in, just to settle the records, and in the process, chances upon his old friends, ones that stayed at home and lead a very different existence. Aakash is at once condescending towards him, and the surroundings, but the objects in his old house take him down the memory lane and reveal to him memories and truths that were more valuable than all the money he made.
