thriller · Short Films · english
The film strives to be an engagement with the mental health of its protagonist, a woman who was sexually abused as a child. However, to reconcile the trauma of the past with her present, she seems to have resorted to a disconcerting tool employed by her mind. Using dissociative identity disorder, the plot thus becomes an engagement with the resultant issues that often follow abuse.
The film is short and concise and simply introduces the viewer to its premise. Not purporting itself as a deep-dive into the subject matter, it provides a starting point for the viewer to build further understanding on the theme and topic themselves.
