The film begins with a scene of a crime. There is a murder on the street, and wild flames all over. The film
then retraces its steps to the act of injustice that provoked this murder, this crime. With an already dark
beginning, the narrative soon gets to the more disturbing elements of the story.
The intent, perhaps, is to make a
comment on the social understanding of power, vulnerability, ability and strength. The film also endeavours to talk about sexual assault and that specific aspect of patriarchy and toxic masculinity which refuses to see the several forms of sexual oppression which are not simply confined to a single gender. However, the route
adopted to expostulate on these concepts could have gained from a deeper engagement with the thematic concerns.
