2020 Film Challenge November 25, 2020

drama · Short Films · hindi
Locating itself in the year 2020 when our reality is completely consumed by the pandemic, the film gives a glimpse into a newly-married couple's life right after the lockdown.
As the world is beginning to open up again, suggested by the woman's first day back at work, the plot endeavours to make way for a similar approach of openness in terms of our mental and emotional reality as well. Without explicitly spelling it out, it endeavours a conversation around bisexuality, looking at sexuality away from its fixed, normative ideas. The metaphor employed for the same, as also suggested by the title of the film, is of the torenia flowers which do not subscribe to the male or the female identity.
