If a child, young and inexperienced, ends up on the street, how does he survive? Or does he survive at all to begin with? 3 Shades is a glimpse of answers to those questions, as vague as they might be. A young boy, sincere to his duties, sells flags on Republic Day. Though the duty is performed successfully and sincerely, there are some realities of life which can't be navigated using the same qualities. Is it the cruelty or the indifference of adults towards a helpless child which is worse? Perhaps that's a question the short film leaves with the audience to answer for itself.
