This House Grows Old With Me

Being indoors during the Covid-19 lockdown ensured that not only did we spend more time in all the various corners of the house with each family member, but also that we were no longer strangers to the very palpable passage of time. It is the same thought which finds an expression in the poetic narrative of the film. As it recounts each of the several experiences, now common to all of us, and moves from one aspect of a locked down existence to another, it invokes a calm progression of events marked by life's inexorable movement and the manner in which we see its reflection in not only the world by and large, but also in the more intimate parts of our lives by way of the mortality of those around us.

In the process, the film becomes a quiet reflection on life gained from the lived reality of an existence which was forced to reduce its pace during a pandemic.
