The short film is a well-meaning story about the importance of honing one’s talent and skill with dedication, even if it sometimes means taking a less traditional route. The same idea is pronounced by introducing us to Seena, a boy who skips school in order to work at a local garage. However, this is in direct opposition to her mother’s wishes who would rather have him rise in the world by way of an education. 

A daily wage laborer herself, exhaustion and the physical exertion get to her one day, leading to tragedy striking in young Seena’s life. The story, though marked by a little inconsistency in narratorial progression, thus comes into its own, finally making it clear for the viewer what it had set out to achieve with its rags-to-riches plot line.

The story of 'Gold Medalist' has a noble message to communicate. It talks of the privilege of being able-bodied while depriving those who do not fall in this category of the opportunities they truly deserve. 

Bharath is a hardworking, talented professional, and yet, despite impressing his interviewer, he is denied a job he is perfectly suitable for, and some more, because he is mute. Years later, life takes an unexpected turn, and the film’s core idea is realized in the narrative. The effort is sincere and shows an earnest desire to put its intentions out in the world.

The writing becomes the strongest aspect of this narrative about dreams, passion, love for music and the manner in which all of these emotions and desires come to be affected by poverty. The story locates itself in a rural corner of West Bengal and introduces us to a character who loves to play the harmonium. Additionally, there isn't simply sincerity and dedication, but also talent when it comes to the endeavours of the protagonist. Bhanga Dana, or The Broken Wings, tells an important story. It touches upon one's holding on to traditions in a world marked by modernity and peers who are moving in and out of cities, or play the guitar or fall away from classical art forms. However, the film could have gained from a little more finesse in its camerawork and transitions, perhaps a characteristic the filmmaker could look closely at in future projects to elevate them further.

The film's primary goal is to talk about perspectives, especially when it comes to ideas of creativity, inspiration and the final piece by an artist. It portrays the struggles of different characters and how an idea rejected by one can trigger another to reach a place of great creative achievement, without the first being even remotely aware of his contribution in the same. The manner in which this is shared is revealed gradually to the viewer, as the story comes into its own before unfolding on screen.
