A goat herder, Gopi, is one day visited by a strange man in the forest. The man, Kesba, leaves him with a goat to take care of. A little before this we are also introduced to Gopi as someone battling terrifying nightmares, something that also portends what the rest of the plot has to offer. The two soon come to overlap in a manner that would alter the protagonist's fate irrevocably. A world of outdoors, nature and the unknown that lurks within it is constructed for the viewer in the film. The final result shows dedication in terms of storytelling and the primary performance, even if not without a few misses within the sound department. The background score, however, is chosen with care to bring this reality to life.

When the film begins, we cannot tell who is being watched and who is doing the watching. This is a very
promising start for a horror film. Something is possessing humans, and an atmosphere of gloom is invoked. The pace of the plot is one of a deliberate slowdown. Additionally, the film employs sound, along with a lack of dialogue, to amplify its element of horror. It is further supplemented with visuals and special effects that exhibit potential. More than shadows and darkness, the narrative uses light and scenes marked by their brightness to reveal their intentions, another notable aspect of a horror story. However, the screenplay, though marked by its moments that startle the viewer and put them at unease, would have benefited from holding on to its secrets a little longer and not giving them away too soon.

The film is based upon the saying that even walls have ears, which is to say that you never know who is
eavesdropping, so be warned. We see two brothers in their house discussing a secret only they are privy
to. One of them is anxious and keeps apologising to the other about telling his secret to their parents.
He looks visibly tormented while the other comes across fearfully menacing and sinister. The dimmed
light, and the hardened voice over lend the film a constant spookiness. The end, however, is
underwhelming. The thrills and chills are not enough to sustain the film.

Walls Have Ears | Short Film Nominee

A boy in quarantine decides to humour himself by attempting to call a spirit. Though he succeeds in his makeshift-seance endeavour, he fails to follow it through. This results in circumstances he is not even remotely prepared to deal with, making his isolation far different from what he could have expected or hoped for.
