The narrative of Alone is a conversation about a life lived entirely by yourself. The protagonist's voiceover is tied with black and white visuals that protray not only his daily routine, but also bring to life a reflection on those moments that he chose to spend with himself. <br><br> As he remains confined indoors, moving from cooking to doing his laundry to taking care of miscellaneous tasks, we are introduced to a world we have been well-acquainted with ever since the Covid-19 pandemic hit India in early 2020. It presents to the viewer his relationship with solitude and why he enjoys it, even in a society which lays significant emphasis on interpersonal dynamics and what it views as people's inherent need to seek each other's company.

Vara talks about a boy's relationship with the wind. As he watches it from the window, the latter keeps the former company with its silent friendship. <br><br> The day that would have otherwise been marked by solitude, thus comes to be marked by companionship.
