‘Concurrence’ adopts an experimental approach that ties together romance, sci-fi and a commentary that interweaves them all as one. Two characters meet each other for the first time for a date, and immediately hit it off. However, the same situation is juxtaposed against another which seems similar at first glance, but is far from that, as we soon realize. <br><br>
If on the one hand, the former is about new beginnings, hope and love, the latter is about parting, heartbreak and pain, on the other. It is in the tying of these two parallel threads that the film presents its core intentions to you. There is a sincerity to performance that further marks the end result.

The eponymous protagonist finds himself at the heart of a terribly baffling and shocking situation right at the start of the film. While making his way back one night, he is transported to a parallel universe where he witnesses a murder, that of his beloved from his own world. However, he soon realizes that he is mistaken, and what follows next is a stab at weaving a story that invokes shock, deceit, betrayal and violence. <br><br> 
The attempt is honest and straightforward, even if a little raw around the edges. It paves the path for similar storytelling in the future that engages with the thoughts and ideas of the dedicated, young team.
