A maze is a puzzle. To be a-mazed is to be dazed, and confused. Rachit Daruka’s film wishes to depict
both: the maze as a noun and the maze as a verb. It seeks to capture the emotional, mental, physical,
geographic as well the psychological state of being associated with a maze. The affiliated emotions of
suffocation and confinement are also indicated in the film. 
Maze follows the protagonist, inviting the viewer to come along, as he struggles with finding his way out. The story, however, would have gained from a little more attention on emboldening its narrative, enough to translate the anxieties of the character for the spectator. Overall, the final product is a reflection of a well-meaning attempt to engage with the thought inherent to the film, and a desire to portray it on screen for the viewer.

A woman wakes up with a start. She’s been having nightmares, and when she wakes up to be comforted by her partner, she still sees a strange man inside her house. The next morning is better, she is once again
lovingly woken up by her boyfriend, but the day still has more eeriness in store for her. The film deliberately creates a narrative marked by several elements that only serve to add to the viewer's bemusement. Additionally, the predominance of red is perhaps also employed to invoke discomfort, mystery and suspense. However, when morning arrives, what unexpected development awaits both her and the audience?

In the context of our contemporary nightmarish reality of a pandemic confining everyone indoors, away from what once used to be their normal lives, the short film wants to talk of shadows and darkness. When this is further tied with another aspect of what is now our new lifestyle - the streaming of content online - it introduces you to the possibility of the mind giving rise to all kinds of fears and frightening thoughts. The narrative provides a glimpse of a similar experience that the protagonist undergoes one night after having watched a horror film.
