An afternoon in the park with several people preoccupied with their own individual worlds - that is the premise of the film. A woman reads, another knits, another simply sits by herself listening to a radio. Amidst it all, a couple has its own romantic exchange. 

It is in the development of this exchange that the world of the film develops as well, presenting to us a universe, a parallel realm of sorts that exists only within this park. The tone and approach to achieve this is mellow and not in a rush to get anywhere. It is original, engaging, and eventually leads to a balanced story. Interestingly, when the conversation between the two lovers concludes, there is one more key development waiting within the narrative, a development which further asserts the film's title and its primary motivation to the audience.

Ever since he was a boy, Kabeer has been fond of reading in the park, accompanied by his favorite writer, Munshi Premchand. However, this companionship is not simply metaphorical for our young protagonist, one marked by stories and the worlds they carry within, but quite literal. The fondness for this specific part of a park and a particular bench continues into his adolescence, as well as adulthood. 

Now a senior professional with important responsibilities, Kabeer finds it in his power to own this spot of land that has been such a crucial part of his life all along. It is at this juncture the crux of the film arrives in the most unexpected, shocking manner. 

Though the film is not entirely devoid of a few snags in terms of production, the story and narrative are nevertheless constructed with an unmissable darkness that enhances them notably. The plot is balanced, supported in equal part by the screenplay and writing, ensuring that the impact of the climax is achieved in a marked way at the conclusion.

The music video is an endeavour to speak of a sense of oneness its protagonist dreams of and strives for with the world around him. The particular image that the video uses to further establish this is that of nature, in all its vast glory. Be it the endless ocean or the limitless sky, the film invokes them all, and asserts the peace the character is able to achieve in this act of letting go of all inhibitions. It is the same message that the lyrics too carry for the viewer, the ability to transcend all limitations, emotional, mental or physical, and the consequent calm and peace which is thus achieved would truly be lasting, the mellow vocals suggest. The film employs special effects and a smooth edit to communicate the same to you, in the process, making the thought behind it clear and unequivocal.

A loving couple is introduced to us right at the film’s onset. While the wife beckons her husband to bed, he has a battle to overcome before he follows her call - readying a script for work the following day. In the struggle, another similar story is conjured of another couple where the man, once again, grapples with turning in a long-due script. 

The story-within-a-story approach of the film continues to portray elements of thrill, as well as violence. When the narrative concludes, one that the protagonist had been weaving, we are presented with a moment of intimacy, but only a fleeting one as it is soon subverted most shockingly. All of these components aim to enhance the storytelling, the most notable aspect of the film. 

The driving force of the film eventually becomes the echoing of the idea of how overlaps exist within the bubble of our existence. The faces we see in our day-to-day lives might have a bigger role to play than we realize at first glance as they bleed into our fantasies and the things we concoct inside our heads. Though there is a little inconsistency in the visual and sound departments, the end result remains lucid in the communication of all this, while also presenting a set of zealous performances.

A person's imagination is a very powerful tool indeed, and the film attempts to highlight the same truth. It takes us into the life of a man who is trying to study a complex subject. However, his mind keeps wandering in all kinds of directions. The viewer is allowed to participate in each of these fantasies, which almost always end disastrously. These thoughts, in turn, enable the protagonist to truly understand the consequences of all his potential actions. Will this internal, mental engagement allow him to finally choose the correct path? The film has the answer ready for the audience.
