Short films that manage to simply capture and freeze a moment in time, and nothing more, are often sufficient to successfully tell an important story without needing any further embellishments. Didi! is a wonderful example of the same proposition. It is crisp, taut and surprisingly sweet in its storytelling, and the manner in which it portrays its characters and the relationship they share. The first dialogue in the film is an annoyed calling out to an elder sister, "Didi!". The first sound is that of a screeching alarm clock early in the morning. The way these two will get tied together to reveal the true motivations of the story will leave you with a heartwarming message about siblings, the wistfulness for a time whose value you realise only when it has passed and a beautiful bond that exists between two individuals as they move from one stage of their life to another, all the while deeply caring for each other.

A mother-daughter relationship, while defined by intimacy and affection, can sometimes also be fraught with deep complexity. It is indeed only a place that has known great love that can give rise to anger, conflict and hostility of similar proportions. The short film is an exploration of the same premise as it introduces us to the struggles of Tara's relationship with her mother. The story comes into its own gradually, revealing all pieces of information in an organic manner. The final result succeeds at invoking a sense of calmness when it comes to storytelling. The film exhibits potential of a young team at putting together a notable story that is marked by creative thought despite its limited resources. Additionally, it ensures that the length is just right, on the whole making more such endeavors by the cast and crew a prospect to look forward to.

The video adopts an experimental approach to share its story. Through the voiceover that emerges as the visuals of a seaside begin to appear, it brings in ideas of change, the passage of time and perhaps also waiting. The film presents these ideas with symbolic visuals to express its further further. However, it seems that the story has more to say, to allow the viewer to engage with its subject. The same expression would have helped the final result further. On the whole, it should be noted, the film comes across as exhibiting the desire to engage with notions of existence, the philosophy of change and drawing a parallel of sorts between the physical reality of the human body and nature.

Narrated entirely from the point of view of the protagonist, the short film is the story of a man who finds himself stuck in a mundane rut. As he struggles to keep up with professional pressures, demands and expectations, an important realization awaits him. There is also a comment about change to be made within the folds of the plot. Though the film could have gained from a tighter control on its lighting, it aspires to tell a story, and to that goal it dedicates itself fully. A solo project, Transition leaves the door open for more similar endeavors attempting to share the young storyteller's insight on life.

The narrative is an attempt to share an important social message with the viewer. It does the same by approaching a situation from the point of view of different people. Additionally, it wants to make the comment that often things boil down to taking that first step. If it is somehow achieved, help will be available to enable you further on the right path. All of this is shown by portraying an assault on a woman that is carried out by three men. While a passer-by begins a live social media broadcast on his phone, documenting the attack instead of helping the girl, comments begin to roll in. As more passers-by take notice, the story offers it comment for the viewer.
