Mohan is dealing with financial tribulations. Starting his new business of sugarcane juice is the only hope in turning things around, even in the face of several obstacles that include a faulty second hand juice machine, as well as his own temper. In many ways, the narrative pivots on the protagonist’s anger and how destructive it can be when allowed to reign free. 

The storytelling is embellished with a progression that remains organically steadfast throughout. The film pivots itself on a very unique premise - the patenting of all abuses and swear words all over the world. In the true spirit of capitalism, a businessman, played by Piyush Mishra, decides to make money out of one of the most common practices globally - swearing. The film goes back to India's Classical past to prove its point in a humorous manner. It draws attention to the various situations where swearing has become so commonplace that we no longer even realise it's presence. However, what happens when someone begins to demand money for the same? Of course things go topsy-turvy and the nation is hurled in a state of chaos. From monthly budgets to being used as a tool to show off your wealth - swearing finds its place everywhere. During few of its moments, the film runs the danger of being crass, however a speech in defense of patenting swearing by Mishra towards the end, pulls it back together. It is also important to approach the film with the right mindset, to see it as harmless, lighthearted comedy, and perhaps the viewer would then come out satisfied at the end of it all.

Aai Ani Dabba is essentially an inspiring and honest story of overcoming obstacles to truly secure the success you deserve. It achieves the same by taking the viewer into the life of a woman who delivers food tiffins to people. A layered protagonist is offered through an engagement with Sunita Padaul's story who had begun her business in the face of lack of support and implicit opposition from her family. Starting her day at six in the morning, and never allowing the hard work of the endeavour to daunt her, there has been no looking back for Padaul who straddles the familial as well as the professional space with elan and dedication. The film, in this manner, becomes a celebration of commitment, indomitable will and resolve, and a woman's desire to take care of her family, irrespective of the odds she is faced with. The documentary in itself is an example of promise and potential on the part of the team, leaving the door open for more such films and stories from them.
