The short film is simple and direct in its intentions. It wants to talk about an important concern, the significance of education, which it further ties with the familial space. Arpit and his Dau are farmers in rural Madhya Pradesh, shouldering the burden of survival. In the middle of it all, however, lies Arpit's deep dedication to education, much to the fury of his elder brother. Dau abuses his younger brother both verbally and physically, forcing him to work on their farm instead. Even in the face of all adversity, Arpit continues to push forth, never giving up on his academic pursuits, for he is driven by a very strong motivator - hope. The title of the film is eventually realized at the conclusion as the most pivotal development of the plot makes its presence known.

The film's title, Aandhali Maashi, translates to 'blind fly', setting its philosophical premise for the viewer. One of the first few shots, once it opens, are that of a swarm of flies hovering above a floating body in water which is coupled with the idea of blindness conjured by the title, to further pronounce the film's intentions with this image. The narrative, marked by a poetic voice, talks of greed, the acts of violence it can lead to and perhaps even a suggestion of the consequent guilt. The approach adopted for the same is experimental and requires viewer's full attention to peel off all the layers of the plot. Additionally, the film exhibits a dedicated use of its limited resources to share its story and bring all its intention to life on screen.

It takes the viewer into the lives of two brothers where the elder sibling intends to protect the younger one by making him understand the importance of staying home. a fallout with his father which led him to leave their parents' house. Now that Kush is leaving for
college soon, he wants to bring his sibling home to take care of their mother. The brothers have a gripping,
engaging, even heated discussion. Kabir wants nothing to do with the house of his father. Kush reminds him
of his responsibility towards his mother and the younger brother who needs him. He urges Kabir to bury
the hatchet, but then, there is an accident which changes everything.

While a lot of stories often focus on parent-child equations, this particular one wants to engage with the relationship of two brothers and all the affection that comes to constitute it, especially in a world that is currently plagued by the coronavirus pandemic.

Tohfa attempts a relevant social message through the story of two brothers. One of them, as he goes to work daily, may be forgetting an important duty towards himself as well as his family. On his birthday, his younger brother surprises him with a present that serves as a reminder of not neglecting his safety any more. The narrative employs a poetic narration to convey the significance of its message and leaves the audience with a sense of responsibility towards their loved ones.
