Thorny plants, peeling walls, and some other dying corners of a house establish the tone of the film for the viewer. A sick man lies bedridden when he is visited by a concerned, panicked well-wisher. The man instead focuses on a plant called Junie, and continues to dismiss the entrant’s anxiety. As the story proceeds, a world marked by chronic illness, loss, grief, and immense tragedy is invoked by the viewer. 
The screenplay and performances remain tightly intertwined as one to bring forth an expert end result. The emotional spectrum is achieved with skill, offering the viewer a glimpse into relationships and familial bonds that are messy and overburdened with all kinds of complexities, and yet, they remain the most unexpected as well as powerful source of comfort.

Junie | Spotlight

A story of two brothers, and a woman located within this dynamic, the film is an engagement with separation, and how far someone can go in the pursuit of closure. 

When the iridescent Renu returns to meet the brothers, Yuvi and Avi, after five years, she comes with an invitation to her wedding. Thus develops a conversation on past hurt, the compulsions that lead people to make choices they never wanted to make, and the ensuing heartache that gets left behind in their wake. Renu, notably performed and portrayed, may have made mistakes in the past, but now she wishes to amend them, or at least explain the reasons that led to her actions all these years ago. 

The storytelling is taut with tension and something darker that simmers under the surface. The screenplay and editing are constructed with the same control and skill, and keep the viewer hooked right till the very end, when an unexpected development subverts all expectations.

At Last We Said Goodbye | Spotlight

The film's title, Aandhali Maashi, translates to 'blind fly', setting its philosophical premise for the viewer. One of the first few shots, once it opens, are that of a swarm of flies hovering above a floating body in water which is coupled with the idea of blindness conjured by the title, to further pronounce the film's intentions with this image. The narrative, marked by a poetic voice, talks of greed, the acts of violence it can lead to and perhaps even a suggestion of the consequent guilt. The approach adopted for the same is experimental and requires viewer's full attention to peel off all the layers of the plot. Additionally, the film exhibits a dedicated use of its limited resources to share its story and bring all its intention to life on screen.

The film is a sincere story of affection, loss and fighting obstacles together in a world afflicted by coronavirus. It takes the viewer into the lives of two brothers where the elder sibling intends to protect the younger one by making him understand the importance of staying home. The narrative is well-meaning and invokes a sense of hope with its conclusion.

The story deals with a violent murder and the consequent guilt it leads to. It takes you into the story of two brothers where one lives with the burden of a heinous deed he has committed. As his reality and dreams mingle into one, he is left to battle a nightmarish reality where strange occurrences continue to take place one after another. While taking you deeper into a world of bloodshed, gory developments and their effects on a person who gets left behind with his demons, the film chooses to stay with a monochromatic palette to portray all of these intentions for the viewer to interact with.

As a young man returns from work, he stumbles across the horrifying news of a terror attack in his city. However, are there any more disturbing truths that the night holds for him?
