Though she is never introduced to the viewer, or even mentioned by name in the entirety of the film, Shruti's presence remains an overarching entity throughout. The narrative instead allows the audience a glimpse into the protagonist's internal struggles and dilemmas following a tragedy and loss of a huge magnitude.
