drama · Short Films · hindi
The story of the film is its strongest aspect, taking the viewer into a whole series of events that map almost a decade between 2010 and 2018. The narrative moves back and forth to familiarize the viewer with these events, introducing us to a small-time gangster and an escort.
Alongside their love story, which begins after an opportune encounter when she saves his life, we are further introduced to all those characters who would come to alter its course in an irredeemably permanent manner. Amidst the folds of the plot, lies an important social message - about HIV and why it is important to always act responsibly when it comes to our sexual health as well as that of others.
While the majority of the drama unfolds around Salman and Salma, the protagonist and his beloved, the aspect of the story that deals with AIDS and being HIV positive is intentionally kept indirect, not served right away to the viewer. It is in this development that the plot thickens, eventually drawing inspiration from a baffling, bizarre and deeply disturbing real life incident. It is suffice to say that despite the film's limited resources, the story suffices in keeping the audience entertained and engaged throughout till the very conclusion.
