The film does a notable job of giving the viewer the character of Ronny, jaunty, irreverent and confident. The whole prison is wary of his attempts to escape and thereby have upped their security. In the face of all this notoriety, there is also his desire to study and give an examination. Consequently, when the day arrives for this examination, the security is of the highest order.
The strongest aspect of the film is its plot and the manner in which it is weaved. However, the film does lose extra points when it comes to editing (random blur spots hovering in the top corner of the screen, perhaps meant to conceal the room names of the building?). Overall, it is a lighthearted watch which is complete with suspense, mystery, humour and drama.
