The film attempts to explore female desire through the story of a sexually unsatisfied housewife. As she tries to win her husband's affection and attention, she continues to meet one failure after another. One day, an unexpected visitor turns up at her doorstep. However, her first instinct is to shut him out.
A shut door which is eventually opened, comes to stand as a metaphor for much of the story. The film earns brownie points in terms of the camerawork, editing and colouring. All three come across as exhibiting skill and experienced technique. Yet the narrative could have gained from perhaps a more nuanced and sensitive handling of sexuality weaved in it with a better measuring unit and balance.
