The short film is well-intentioned at its core and wants to communicate the message about overcoming internal monsters. From ego and stress to those they give rise to in the form of fear, doubts and sometimes even failure - the narrative engages with them all. The manner it adopts to convey its message is to use the metaphor of internal stressors as literal, physical characters.
The protagonist's thoughts find an echo in the group of men who chase him until exhaustion. However, would he find it in him to finally turn around and fight them off or would he forever cower from truly living his life?
