One of the biggest misconceptions about patriarchy is that it cannot harm men. This is precisely why experiences of sexual assault of male victims are often dismissed and not heard, even by their closest friends and loved ones. The film wants to invoke the same concern by introducing the viewer to the grief of a man who has undergone sexual trauma.
The narrative employs the physical space of only a bathroom, coupled with voiceovers and no other dialogue to take you deeper into his experience. An experimental tone and representation is further attempted in the visuals to drive the message home. The film is sincere and wants to raise important questions about one of the lesser known aspects of sexual violence and oppression, presenting forth the same intentions for the audience to engage with.
