Set against the melodious voice of Jagjit Singh, the strongest aspect of the film is definitely it's writing. As the narrative builds itself using metaphors borrowed from the profession of the two artists, a painter and a writer, the viewer is introduced to strains of homosexuality.
Both characters borrow from their respective art forms to talk about a forbidden territory. The nuances can soon be seen taking a more pronounced form. From colours to light to words - the battle of metaphors continue as the artists fight out their past grievances with each other. But can art and love truly conquer all?
