When Teeli and Arre get together to make a film about India and Pakistan, it's a pity if you still miss it. In the age of Tinder and start-ups and women choosing careers over settling down, this short film is bound to strike a chord with so many millennials on both sides of the Wagah border. The strength of Matched lies in the fact that it highlights the homogeneity of the two cultures - how young people struggle with the same generation gap everywhere, while at the same time managing to highlight their uniqueness. The script is simple, yet the portrayal, meticulously carried out by two separate crews in India and Pakistan, often over video calls and other media of the Internet, is heartwarming and beautiful.
